Taking into account the requirements of the market for specialized scientific personnel, the curriculum of the D.F.S.N. is covering the scientific fields of both Food Science and Nutrition. The balance between Food Science and Nutrition is indispensable in order for the students to gain knowledge and skills required from the scientists of Food Science and Nutrition by the modern market.  In addition the curriculum has courses related to the food business and food business management in order to enrich the students’ understanding of the market and business development
 
The academic program of the Department is comprised of core courses that are obligatorily for all students and elective courses that each student may select from among alternatives.
